Stephan Oliva and movies, sans bruit and (illusions)... "Lives of Bernard Herrmann (sansbruit sbr010) is the 2009 live version released of a sold out studio recording released in 2007 on the label (illusions).

"After Noir" is the improvised extension (in this case, portraits of actors) of "Film Noir", a CD made of "written music"; themes, released simultaneously on the label (illusions). "After Noir" was recorded at the same time as "Film Noir", during the very same recording session, conceived as an alternative vision of the same subject. But in our mind, both are inseparable, like writing and improvisation...
